Between Dark and Light

Seasonal Musings

The Autumnal Equinox is the halfway point between the longest and shortest days of the year. For those of us in the Northern Hemisphere, the beginning of fall often ignites insecurity as we face unpredictable weather and emotions. Although it’s often described as a day-long event, the equinox is actually a very brief astronomical occurence — one so fleeting that you’re likely to miss it, unless you’re paying attention.

On a related note, we intended to send this email yesterday but were depleted by New York’s tumultuous weather and decided to take a nap instead. To our fellow sensitive souls: if you find yourself feeling drained during this time of transition, we highly recommend a daily rest ritual. Even 3 deep breaths creates more space between stimulus and response.
